In the various districts and municipalities of the Stavropol Territory there is an active harvesting time on open farmland with vegetables.

This was reported by representatives of the public relations department of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.

The department also notes that by joint efforts the employees of agricultural enterprises managed to collect from the beginning of the season to this moment over twenty-nine thousand two hundred tons of vegetable products. At the same time, territories were developed, the total area of ​​which is more than two thousand seven hundred hectares.

It will not be superfluous to note that in the past 2018, agrarians of the Stavropol Territory managed to collect more than two hundred twenty-six thousand six hundred tons of vegetables.

Moreover, the gross area of ​​vegetable crops in open ground in the region was sixteen and a half thousand hectares. This year, territories with vegetable crops on open soil were cut in half - up to eight thousand hectares.

It is important to add that the leaders of vegetable production in open ground are such areas of the region as: Ipatovsky, Novoselitsky, Krasnogvardeisky, Arzgirsky, Neftekumsky and Izobilnensky.
