In early July, the Ministry of Justice registered an order of the Ministry of Health on hygienic standards and regulations for the safe use of plant protection products.

It is worth recalling that this year for the first time in the history of independent Ukraine, a number of hygienic standards and regulations for the safe use of plant protection products were not approved in time. Therefore, in fact, this situation stopped the possibility of state registration of plant protection products.

In this regard, during the spring sowing campaign, farmers did not receive timely access to advanced agrochemical developments to improve quality and yield, ensure crop safety.

“According to our information, on July 5, the standards and regulations were registered, although they have not yet been published. This registration completes the state testing process, and makes it possible to begin state registration of plant protection products. Thus, almost 750 products received official status.

In addition, a number of new generation drugs were admitted to state registration. Therefore, even before the start of the autumn sowing season, they can reach farmers, ”said Victor Pogorely, Coordinator of the Agrochemical Committee of the European Business Association.

We hope that in the near future the order will nevertheless be published and this process will not be delayed for another month, because it comes into force from the day of publication.
