Damate is the largest dairy complex in all of Siberia. The largest cow population on the Siberian expanses of Russia is contained here. And so that the control of animals and staff was as accurate and efficient as possible, the management of the complex decided to introduce a remote monitoring system for animals in the farm.
“This methodology combines the experience already known to Russian farmers in the livestock tracking industry and the innovative achievements of progressive livestock breeders who have long been using the online location function of cows,” shared the management of the complex.
In the framework of a new project, farm workers always know exactly where an animal is located, how it behaves alone and surrounded by relatives, what are the indicators of chewing gum, reproduction and other functions of cows. Also, the farm management can carefully monitor the work of the enterprise personnel, the quality of its work and the implementation of technological processes.
According to the leadership of the Tyumen Dairy Farms, this approach makes it possible to control the livestock throughout the day without interruptions and days off, quickly respond to deviations from the norm in the behavior of animals and effectively eliminate the problems that arise.
Regular livestock specialists and veterinarians of the enterprise can now diagnose various diseases in cows at the earliest possible time and begin treatment immediately. Thus, the use of aggressive drugs, which are often “treated” by cows in the late stages of serious illnesses, is minimized in order to speed up the healing process.
