The participants of the "school" had the opportunity to visit the museum, the chemical and analytical laboratory of the wine-making department, the laboratory of virology and microbiology, which are accredited according to ISO 17-025, the rare literature fund and other divisions of the NSC "IViV im. Tairova. "
On day 1, a training and practical seminar "Innovative Technologies to Provide High Quality Grape Raw Materials for Wine Making and Processing Industry" took place. The course included classes in agroecology, grape breeding, technological aspects of growing and propagating grapes, grape plant protection systems, the basics of organic viticulture and winemaking, biochemistry and biotechnology in grape breeding. We paid attention to issues of quality and food safety.
Day 2 was devoted to practical exercises at the experimental sites of the NSC “IViV im. Tairova ”, where the acquaintance with experimental wine production and the methods of its organoleptic evaluation took place.
The idea of the Summer School of Viticulture was supported by producers who provided access to their vineyards and production facilities. Thus, on day 3, winegrowers could learn from the Dzhaburi Federal District (Ovidiopolsky District, Odessa Region) and Shabo Agrofirms LLC (Belgorod-Dniester District, Odessa Region).
On the 4th day, the results of the work of the Summer School of Viticulture were summed up. The idea of organizing the course was supported by the Odessa Institute of Postgraduate Education of the National University of Food Technologies, thanks to which students, in addition to the certificate of participation, were able to receive a certificate of advanced training.
