According to the results of the first six months of this year, the Vinnytsia region took first place in the list of regions of Ukraine in terms of agricultural output, including meat and milk, as reported by the press service of the Vinnitsa regional state administration.

The regional statistics department released data according to which the production rate of gross agricultural products in January-June of this year amounted to 114.1% compared to the same period in 2018.

The share of the Vinnytsia region in the total gross agricultural production for this period amounted to 9.2%.

It is noteworthy that in the first half of 2019, farms of all categories of the Vinnitsa region produced milk in the amount of 374.9 thousand tons, meat (sales) - 293.3 thousand tons.

For information, Vinnytsia region has become an absolute leader in the field of poultry farming in Ukraine. Already in the first three months, the enterprises of the region managed to grow 125.7 thousand tons of live poultry, which amounted to 32.7% of the total Ukrainian indicator.

Agricultural enterprises of Ukraine have increased the pace of poultry farming. According to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, in January-March of this year, the country's poultry farmers raised 391.3 thousand live weight birds, which exceeds the figure for the same period in 2018 by 11%.
