Despite the rain, thousands of spectators gathered in Stoneley Park at the Kenilworth annual agricultural show, which took place last weekend, June 9-10.
It was already the 76th agricultural exhibition, organized by the authorities of the city and the Kenilworth parish in conjunction with the District Agricultural Society (KADAS).
The exhibition attracted visitors from all over the country, as the show was held for the last time due to the construction of the HS2 high-speed railway.
Among the main entertainment events, along with Paul Hannam's Quad Bike Display Team, the favorites of the event were a grand cattle parade and demonstrations of modern agricultural equipment.
New to the show was the team relay race between the Inter Hunt team sponsored by Lodders Solicitors and the Cotswold Hunt team that won the first Ted Edgar Memorial Trophy. In traditional livestock competitions, about 500 cattle and sheep were exhibited.
A horse show and an informative educational zone were also organized, where visitors learned more about agriculture and related industries throughout the day.
Charlie Whitman, director of the Kenilworth Show, said: “The Kenilworth Show is always a fantastic agricultural festival throughout the region. This is the culmination of 12 months of hard work and planning behind the scenes. I would like to thank everyone who participated in this year’s event and for their continued support over the years. ”
