The implementation of farmer programs with the support of Astrakhan agrarians is very interesting for Italy today. European farmers are delighted with the work of Russian colleagues from the Astrakhan fields, which annually grow more than 1.7 million tons of vegetable and melon products.
“We are ready to share our experience in intensive gardening, and we also offered Astrakhan farmers to grow carrots and garlic together,” said Italian enthusiasts.
In particular, the potential for fruitful collaboration between Italians and Astrakhan was discussed during a meeting between the Consul General of Italy in the South and North Caucasus Federal Districts, Pierpaolo Lodigiani, and interim Governor of the region Sergey Morozov.

“Our farmers see great potential in the joint cultivation of carrots and garlic: the Astrakhan soils are ideally suited for these crops,” assured Lodigiani.
As for Astrakhan farmers, they claim that they are extremely interested in the experience of Italians in horticulture. "Achievements of Italian farmers will help us get a generous harvest from garden crops already in their second year of growth," Russian farmers say with admiration. Moreover, local farmers are ready to buy high-quality Italian agricultural equipment.
