The head of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries of the Republic of Karelia Vladimir Labinov is convinced that some representatives of the agro-industrial complex of the region should significantly reduce financial assistance from the state, or even completely stop subsidies.
Within the framework of the government hour, which was held among the members of the Karelian Legislative Assembly, Labinov reported to parliament representatives on the details of the activities entrusted to him.
He added that starting next year, the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries seriously intends to stop providing financial support to such a farming sector as haying.
Vladimir Labinov and his like-minded colleagues are sure that mowing does not fit into the budget of the state program, the priority of which is dairy and meat production.
And if these industries give significant results, then haying only slightly affects the statistics of agricultural production. That is why, starting in 2020, monetary assistance to the hayfields of Karelia will be stopped.
It is noteworthy that the head of the Ministry admits - after his statement, those farmers who are engaged in mowing hay can rebel and bring down a flurry of complaints at the department.
