Incredibly prestigious award at the competition in the UK were representatives of the Matsesta tea factory.
It is known that this year they went to the British capital and became participants in the Great Taste tasting competitions.
The competition was held from March to July 2019, collecting in London products of hundreds of enterprises from around the world to determine the most delicious tea, as well as wine and other agricultural products.
Employees of a tea factory from Matsesta (Krasnodar Territory) presented four types of their products to the jury. As a result, black tea, which is hand-picked, was highly praised by the judges and received the highest award - “Three Stars”.
The remaining three types of products presented received one asterisk, which also indicates their high quality and excellent taste characteristics.
Such information was shared with the public in the press service of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture. The department also noted that the panel of judges consisted of experienced and eminent chefs, famous sommeliers and other experts who gave their assessments “blindly”.
In total, over twelve and a half thousand products from hundreds of world states took part in the competition.It will not be superfluous to note that the Matsesta tea factory at the Great Taste competition is not a novice: this year it went to competitions for the second time and proudly represented the northernmost tea in the whole world.
