Ukraine expects apples to rise in price at least three times compared to 2018. All this is due to the low yield of apples.

As the Vinnytsia gardener Nikolai Volynets says, this year is not happy with the apple harvest. The reason for this is the adverse weather conditions that developed during the flowering and laying of the fruits of the apple tree.

Just during flowering, a cold snap came, because of which now there are few fruits on the trees. In such circumstances, even the retail price is difficult to predict. Probably, per kilogram of apples will have to pay at least 15-20 UAH. Currently, the price of these fruits rarely drops below 18 UAH.

According to him, an unprecedented yield of apple trees was shown in 2018. Last year, farmers did not know how to realize such a rich harvest. Gardeners were forced to sell their crops at low prices. In 2018, processing plants purchased apples at 0.80-1.5 UAH / kg.

Recall that in 2018, Ukraine set several historical productivity records at once. 2018 has already gone down in history as one of the most fruitful in Ukraine.

According to the State Statistics Service, last year the historical maximum of grain crops was collected.
