The largest offer of apricots in Ukrainian markets is traditionally observed in July.

This year, the weather of spring and summer was unfavorable for apricots, but the operators of the largest wholesale market in Western Ukraine, Shuvar ORSP, for 3 weeks of July were able to realize 80% of their annual volume. The specialists of the Info-Shuvar center talk about this, referring to their monitoring.

According to Info-Shuvar experts, from the first days of the summer of this year, more than 1.97 thousand tons of apricots were sold on the Shuvar ORSP market, which is already more than during the entire season last year.

So, during the three weeks of the second month of the summer of 2019, market traders were able to sell about 1.5 thousand tons of apricots. In July 2018, 1.2 thousand tons of these fruits were sold in the same market. For the entire season last year, 1.90 thousand tons of apricots were sold.

“The Shuvara site is growing every year, its main advantage for sellers is the largest concentration of potential customers in the Western region. This opportunity is used not only by Ukrainian producers; today, fruits from Moldova and Serbia are also offered at the уuvara ’site.

For the whole year you can find apricots in the terminal “Vegetables and Fruits” from the EU countries and more distant corners of the world, ”says Tatyana Getman, head of the Analytics department of the Shuvar ORSPP.

According to Info-Shuvar, almost 8 thousand sellers and about 120 thousand buyers come to the site of ORSP “Shuvar” every month. Since the beginning of 2019, nearly 270 thousand tons of agricultural products have been sold through infrastructure facilities of the market, the share of fresh vegetables and fruits in this volume occupies 65%.
