Each owner who uses plant protection products (SZR) constantly raises the question: what to do with empty containers? The number of empty chemical cans at the end of the season can be large.
This is an initiative from Bayer, whose main goal is to promote a responsible attitude to the disposal of plastic and other dangerous containers. Containers from plant protection products are not subject to further processing, and therefore, if handled improperly, there are threats to both the environment and humans.
Sometimes containers are not thrown out from under the sanitary protection system, but they begin to use it in their own households for the most domestic purposes - from storing oils and fuel to storing water, etc. But the plastic container that was filled with SZR remains dangerous even after numerous washes!
Some owners go the other way - they burn used containers. However, this is categorically impossible! If you burn this plastic not far from your own field, then you run the risk of “staining” your own territory with toxins, because, getting into the air, harmful substances settle in the soil and wastewater.
In addition to the risks described above, harmful plastic is a huge blow to the environment. Today in Ukraine its volume has already exceeded 35 billion tons! Thanks to the Bayer company, empty containers from SZR do not need to be taken anywhere - the official partner, LLC Ukrekoprom, will take care of the collection and disposal.
The costs associated with collection and disposal are fully paid by Bayer LLC. All collected pesticide containers are safely ground in a special installation. Then it is burned in a high-temperature furnace, which ensures the decomposition of combustible substances to non-toxic.
