Based on the information shared with the public by representatives of the public relations department of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, to date, domestic farmers have managed to thresh over twenty-three million hectares since the beginning of the current season.
We are talking about land with grain and leguminous crops. Spent areas account for half of the originally planned sown area plan.
It is noteworthy that by the same period last year, 2018, Russian farmers managed to thresh exactly the same area with grain and legumes.
This year, the productivity of threshed land is impressive - more than seventy-three million tons of grain has been threshed. For visual comparison, we add that a year earlier, seventy-one and a half million tons were collected from the same area by the same date.
The average yield on spent grain and leguminous fields now stands at thirty-one and a half centners per hectare. A year earlier, the figure was thirty and a half centners.
Speaking specifically about wheat, in this case, to date, managed to thresh fifty-five and a half million tons of grain from sixteen million hectares (a year earlier the ratio was slightly different - fifty-three million eight hundred tons from fifteen million eight hundred hectares).Wheat yield on average today is thirty-five centners per hectare. We also note that the actual crop of Russian rapeseed is five hundred twenty four and a half thousand tons from two hundred nineteen thousand hectares.
